Qasimi Presents Cost-Reduction Strategies at Well Site Design & Engineering Forum
Sales & Marketing Director Javvad Qasimi was a featured speaker at the recent Well Site Facilities 2017 Design & Engineering Forum in Houston.
Responding to the challenges producers face in today’s low-price market, Qasimi presented well site cost reduction strategies available from Dover Energy Automation, with emphasis on Norriseal-WellMark’s valve and control product portfolio. Long-term value, he explained, must include improved productivity, safety, and effective fugitive emissions control to comply with EPA requirements.
To illustrate the savings possible in adopting some of these strategies, Qasimi presented a case study in which an E&P company has achieved annual savings over $2.1 million USD by changing from pneumatically controlled valves to Norriseal control valve/electric actuator packages.
The savings accrue from increased natural gas production capacity, recovery of fugitive emissions, improved SCADA control and reduced maintenance and repairs. In capturing approximately 2,000 mcf per year of fugitive emissions, the E&P company has met their aggressive emissions-reduction targets and expects to add up to 10% additional production through an increase in the state-regulated production capacity.
Operators unable to attend the conference can receive an information packet with case study details by contacting their Norriseal-WellMark representative.
